Augenblick, Palaich and Associates (APA), a consulting firm for the Nevada State Legislature, has been authorized and is conducting a school finance study on behalf of the state of Nevada that includes identifying the resources needed to serve at-risk students, English language learners and special education students throughout Nevada.

Keeping Minds Active During Summer

The Carson City School District's Gifted and Talented Education Program (GATE) recently sponsored a summer theater camp in partnership with Wild Horse Children's Theater. Fifty students from across the district participated in this camp, which culminated with a live performance of Aladdin at the Brewery Arts Center last Friday night. The camp and final performance were well received by students and families, and the GATE program looks forward to sponsoring additional productions in the future. More than 270 people attended the summer camp production.
