Empire Elementary School hosted the second of four Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Parent Nights Tuesday, Dec. 17, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. More than 250 participants gathered last night to experience fun hands-on experiments and student-showcased STEM projects, which were taught throughout the last quarter of activities and learning.

In November, the school was pleased to announce it was the winner of a $5,000 Grant, funded by the Rotary Club of Carson City, to hold four (4) STEM Parent Nights at their school. Last night’s event was the second of those four. The next two events will be held in March and May of 2020.
